There might be a slight complication when using the RTMS for other platforms. 

While the RTMS server link is unique, the stream key is unique and changes every time. It’s case-sensitive, and one wrong letter or number will change things. 

How Do you Set up Multistreaming with Streamyard?

Setting up a multi-stream with Streamyard is easy. 

First, make sure that you have added your pages or channels to stream under Destinations. Click on Broadcast and choose which destinations to broadcast your video.

Don’t forget to add a Title and Description to make your streaming more engaging. Optionally, you can customize each description and title for each destination to match your audience behavior on each platform better. Lastly, you can also add a thumbnail to help grab people’s attention.

You may also choose to schedule a stream for later, but you must remember to go live on or before the time you set. 

If you don’t log in after ten minutes from the starting time you selected, the schedule will be nullified, and you need to set up the stream again. Note also that the program will be the same for all platforms.

Once you’ve set the multi-stream, you can click on enter Broadcast Studio to begin the broadcast.

How to Switch During Livestream:

In the Broadcast Studio of Streamyard, select your camera and audio device. 

Open another tab on your browser and go to Streamyard. You will enter the Broadcast Studio, where you can choose another camera, clicking the video button below the video preview. 

Select your second camera and save changes, then go back to the first tab. You will see that both cameras are now on your Streamyard broadcast. 

From here, you can choose how cameras will appear during the Livestream. It’s also important to know that both tabs of Streamyard need to be open to maintain the multicamera angle. This feature comes in handy, especially if you’re demonstrating something related to your business or service. 

Another way to enable multiple camera setup is by generating an invite link and using it on your browser. 

Copy the invite link and paste it into another tab on your browser. You will then be asked to select a camera and audio source before proceeding to the Broadcast Studio for streaming. This option is helpful for those who want to integrate other devices, such as smartphones and tablets, for broadcasting. 

Can you End Streaming in one Platform Without Disconnecting Others? 

You can end streaming in one platform without interrupting others. 

All you need to do is click on the platform you want to end and select Remove in the drop-down menu. 

This feature is helpful if you want to do exclusive broadcasts on your Facebook group while ending your public streaming in non-subscription-based platforms like YouTube. 

Can you Add Another Platform to Streamyard While Streaming Live?

You can add another platform or channel in the middle of a stream. 

If the account is already on your Streamyard, it’s a matter of selecting and adding it. 

But, if the channel isn’t there yet, you will need to add it, like how you placed your other media. If there’s no one to handle this, it can be a problem, especially if you’re not adept at multitasking. 

What Else Do you Need to Stream to Multiple Platforms?  

The requirements to do multiple streams don’t differ that much from your standard streaming setup. 

That means you need to have a stable Internet connection, and it’s highly recommended to use a wired or LAN. Wi-Fi might be fast, but it is not as stable as a wired connection. The upload speed should at least be four Mbps. 

Second, you need to be using Chrome or Firefox. Between the two, Chrome is highly recommended. 

Lastly, if streaming to platforms that only support 720p resolution, avoid using 1080p settings.
