Baby monitors are an essential device in a parent’s toolkit that ensures their little one is safe, no matter where they are in the house.
VAVA baby monitors have been steadily gaining popularity over the past few years, as more and more parents are looking for a budget-friendly alternative to traditional baby monitors. But, as with any new product, there are some problems to be aware of.
Even the best baby monitors sometimes need a little troubleshooting, and in this article, you can get up to speed on some of the most common issues with VAVA baby monitors and the easiest ways to have them running effectively.
My VAVA Baby Monitor Won’t Turn On
Switching on your VAVA baby monitor should be as simple as pressing the power button, but what if for some reason your unit does not power up?
If you’re wondering why your VAVA baby monitor has seemingly decided that it doesn’t want to turn on then take a look at some of the most common causes below:
Have your batteries run out of juice?
- Some VAVA units, most notably the monitor, have the ability to run on batteries.
- If the battery level is reduced to low or is completely empty then the unit will not switch on.
- Keeping rechargeable VAVA baby monitor units charged is essential if you want to be able to turn the unit on at will.
- Some units, such as the IH006, will indicate the battery is low by a flashing red LED.
- VAVA camera units often must be connected to a power source.
- Any unit that requires a connection to a power source will not power up and turn on unless it is connected via the supplied cable.
Is the power cable in good condition?
- VAVA baby monitors come with power cables.
- These power cables are necessary to charge or power the units, such as the camera.
- If these cables become damaged then it will not be possible to charge or power your VAVA baby monitor, thus preventing it from turning on.
- Check your cables for signs of breakages or damage and order a replacement cable if so.
